Job summary

CBSbutler is seeking an experienced Technical Architect to design secure, scalable software solutions for complex defence environments. The role is Bristol-based with Hybrid work, including about 20% on-site presence.

The candidate will lead architecture definition, drive secure-by-design practices, and support bids and solution development across Agile/SAFe teams with CI/CD and DevSecOps.)

Qualifications

• Experience in software architecture and delivery of engineering solutions.
• Experience with software design patterns and cyber security standards.
• Expertise in software lifecycle management, CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience with complex, distributed or cloud-based systems.

6 month contract
SC or DV cleared - Sole UK National

Looking for an experienced Technical / Software Architect to design secure, scalable and resilient software solutions within complex defence environments.

Key responsibilities:

• Define software architectures and technical roadmaps.

• Drive secure-by-design principles and technology innovation.

• Support bids, proposals and solution development.

• Work across Agile/SAFe teams, CI/CD and DevSecOps environments.

Essential experience:

• Software architecture and engineering delivery.

• Software design patterns and cyber security standards.

• Software lifecycle management, CI/CD and DevSecOps.

• Experience across complex, distributed or cloud-based systems.

Cloud certifications, microservices and digital modernisation experience are desirable.

Clearance:

Active SC required; NPPV3 preferred.
