Job summary

Scrumconnect Consulting is seeking a Technical Architect to shape the architecture of shared components that support app-based user journeys and digital credentials. You will guide engineering teams, lead governance, and collaborate across government departments and cloud platforms.

You will bring hands-on cloud experience (AWS, GCP or Azure), strong DevOps discipline, and ability to communicate trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences while navigating enterprise architecture

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Technical or Solution Architect on large-scale digital services.
• Hands-on knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP or Azure).
• Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD and modern engineering tooling.
• Experience producing HLDs, LLDs and architecture decision records.
• Confidence in taking designs through governance boards and explaining trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience working in a multi-team or multi-organisation environment.
• Experience with mobile app architecture, digital identity or credential services.
• UK public sector experience and familiarity with the GDS Service Standard and Technology Code of Practice.

Technical Architect

We are looking for a Technical Architect to shape the architecture of shared components that support app-based user journeys and digital credentials. You will guide engineering teams, take designs through technical governance, and work across several government departments and cloud platforms.

What you will do

Advise on the technical architecture of common components supporting app-native journeys and digital credentials.
