Several opportunities have arisen in the People Platform for Technical Application Specialists, to work with an amazing team to support the configuration of the Platform’s critical technical assets specifically Workday. As a Technical Application Specialist, you will be a highly skilled professional who possesses deep expertise in this technological domain. This role combines advanced technical knowledge with problem-solving skills to address complex challenges, provide guidance, and drive innovation within your area of specialisation. Technical Application Specialists are often seen as go-to resources for their in-depth understanding within specific areas and their ability to apply their expertise to high profile projects and initiatives. Their work directly impacts the final product that internal or external customers use.
Job Description
The Technical Application Specialist role recognises the need for highly skilled technical practitioners who as part of their day-to-day role do not typically develop code, but configure and customise 3rd party products. Technical Application Specialists will use the tools and interfaces aligned to the Workday, ServiceNow or Microsoft Viva domains to develop and maintain functionality in line with end-user demand. Within their domain, Technical Application Specialists develop deep expertise, are accountable for maintenance, configuration and reliable operation. They implement system upgrades and monitor system performance taking proactive service protection activities as appropriate.
Line management will be a part of this role, helping the Technical Application Specialists at junior grades to grow and develop. The grade E role is an experience specialist capable of managing multiple complex projects:
