Overview

In this role, as a Technical Application Specialist, you will be responsible for Internet Banking DB2, Batch and DataPower, enhancing the resilience of these application whilst supporting consumers to modernise their journeys to deploy their code independently. Your team will deliver key changes that will be critical for Digital Modernisation and enhance the overall engineering experience for our consumers. Responsibilities
  • Working on changes for Internet Banking Batch and Db2 ensuring high quality delivery of tasks, stories via agile methodologies.
  • Supporting any incident resolution relating to Batch, and Db2.
  • Continually improving service stability and observability for Batch and Db2.
  • Raising changes on ServiceNow for Batch and Db2.
  • Collaborating with DataPower team and becoming an SME for Batch & Db2.
  • Collaborate closely with product owners, architects, engineers and developers, to deliver changes via our front door process
  • Foster an engineering culture of experimentation, learning and continuous innovation.
  • Technology Expertise - Strong knowledge and expertise of Internet Banking Batch and IBDB2.
  • Software Engineering - Possess a deep understanding of the software lifecycle, ensuring high standards in design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Operational optimisation - experience with Run operations for highly available systems, including control automation, end to end system monitoring and observability
  • Service Sustainability & Incident Resolution - demonstrable experience of incident resolution, war room support and root cause identification.
  • Delivery - Experience in deploying changes into production for customers
  • Cloud Platform - Familiarity with the development of resilient systems on cloud platforms such as GCP, Azure or AWS.
  • Experience and knowledge of Foundation Server and F5
  • Experience and knowledge of DataPower
  • Experience of managing and designing end to end API services (preferably REST) and SDKs.
  • Experience of DevOps Pipeline optimisation and developing embedded and dynamic controls.
