Our client, a respected non-profit organisation, is looking for a Technical and Standards Engineer to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a keen interest in UK and EU product legislation and technical standards.

As part of the technical department, you’ll play a key role in keeping industry members informed about regulatory developments, ensuring compliance with evolving safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, interpret, and communicate changes in UK and EU product legislation and technical standards.
  • Support industry members with technical enquiries and provide expert insights.
  • Represent the organisation at external meetings, working groups, and technical committees.
  • Engage with government bodies and industry stakeholders on regulatory matters.
  • Deliver reports and presentations tailored to different audiences.

About You

  • Analytical and methodical, with a strong ability to interpret complex legislation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with a range of stakeholders.
  • Proactive, inquisitive, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.

This is a full-time role with flexibility for remote working, along with travel opportunities both nationally and internationally. The role will focus primarily on the outdoor power sector, supporting a diverse range of industry professionals, from consultants to major global manufacturers.
