Job description

Are you highly competent in the use of PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Power BI Desktop application? Do you have a can-do attitude and be willing to take on a wide variety of responsibilities to support the team? Can you work under pressure to tight deadlines, staying calm and organised? Do you have an eye for detail and take pride in high quality reports?

In this role, you’ll be providing specialist MI and Analytical Reporting in the IT Service Assurance function, as well as undertaking in-depth analysis to support both technology and business areas. Enthusiastic and keen to develop, you will quickly become a highly knowledgeable and valued team player, providing a reporting and governance service across the IT Service Assurance Function.

For this job you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part time you'll spend 40% of your working time, based at the Swindon office. What you’ll be doing

Working as part of a small close-knit team to deliver a highly valued service to colleagues across the Information Technology and Service Delivery teams. We’ll need you to work closely with numerous business areas and IT teams producing a range of reporting packs and MI that support decision-making.

Using your judgement and analytical skills you’ll probe MI, highlight anomalies and understand discrepancies. We need a proactive technical analyst, using your initiative to spot opportunities to continuously improve what you do and the outputs from the reporting team.

About you

You’ll be a confident individual who is able to communicate with Senior Stakeholders. This position will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to understand Nationwide’s IT systems and how they underpin each business process suiting someone who has an analytical mind set, together with the confidence to ask ‘How, What, and Why?’ in order to ensure the right information is reported.

As a minimum you’ll need to have:

  • Hands on experience using PowerBI Desktop application, Excel and be proficient in the use of Macros. ITIL Foundation certified and Dynatrace skills as desirable but not essential.
  • Experience interpreting and correlating a wide range of business performance measures and presenting information to a senior audience in a logical and understandable way.
  • Must be good at building relationships across all levels.
