Job summary

Purpose:

We are looking for a technical analyst in supporting our business application technology environments, managing application releases, administering business-critical applications, maintaining system data integrity, and driving resolution. To help b ridg e the gap between technical operations and business needs , staying abreast of emerging technologies to enhance technical capabilities. This is a highly visible role requiring a strong, independent individual who can proactively build relationships across the organisation, challenge constructively, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive outcomes with minimal supervision.

Role:

Business Relationship Management & Continuous Improvement

• Develop trusted relationships with business stakeholders, acting as the primary point of contact for application-related requirements, issues, and opportunities.
• Build a deep understanding of business processes, objectives, and challenges to identify opportunities for technology-enabled improvement.
• Translate business needs into technical requirements and work with delivery teams, suppliers, and support partners to implement effective solutions.
• Champion the adoption of application features and functionality that improve business performance, efficiency, and user experience , including the promotion of inbuilt AI features to ensure productivity gains .
• Building a product roadmap with the business and prioritising the work that meets the business need.
• Facilitate workshops, gather requirements, and support business process reviews to ensure technology solutions continue to meet evolving needs.
• Act as the bridge between business functions and technical support teams, ensuring priorities are understood and delivered effectively.
• Provide regular insights and recommendations to stakeholders on application usage, optimisation opportunities, and emerging risks.

Release Management

• Plan, coordinate, and execute application releases across environments under change management .

Business Application Administration

• Serve as the primary administrator for key business applications.
• Work with business teams to identify where additional value can be realised from greater or more enhanced application usage
• Work with Asset Manager, stakeholder and business owners to ensure licensing costs and usage are optimised
• Configure, update, and optimize application settings based on user needs.
• Coordinate supplier support activities and ensure service issues are resolved effectively.
• Provide user guidance, training and support as required.

System Data Management

• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across systems.
• Perform regular audits and data cleansing activities.
• Support integration and migration efforts between platforms.
• Introduce controls to safe guard data entry and produce a positive impact on reporting
• Maintain and prioriti s e application enhancement, support and technical backlogs .
• Work with stakeholders to define requirements , busi ness benefits and acceptance criteria.
• Track progress and ensure timely delivery of backlog items.

Information Security

• Work with the infrastructure Teams to ensure backup and recovery is planned and tested
• Ensure data retention rules are applied both within the systems and backup locations
• Ensure user access is governed appropriately through role based access controls and sensitive data is ob fu scated when in non-production environments

Person Specification:

• Proven experience in a technical analyst or business application analyst role.
• Experience with SaaS applications and administration
• Strong understanding of release cycles, environment management, and application administration.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills
• Experience managing third-party suppliers and support partners.
• Experience supporting integrations, APIs, and data migration activities
• Familiarity with ITIL practices and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with tools such as Jira, ServiceNow .
• Knowledge of HTML, Python, SQL , scripting, or basic programming is a plus.
• Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
