Job summary

Michael Page, a Mid Kent based client, seeks a Financial Accountant to be the organisation's IFRS/UK GAAP expert and primary contact for external auditors.

You will research standards, prepare technical papers, and lead on new accounting standards while supporting continuous improvement across reporting systems and controls. This is a hybrid role with exposure to senior finance leaders.

Qualifications

• ACA qualification, or ACCA/CIMA with proven technical accounting experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP reporting requirements.
• Experience within audit, technical accounting, or financial reporting environments.
• Experience preparing or auditing consolidated financial statements within large or complex organisations.
• Experience managing external audit relationships and liaising with professional advisers.
• Advanced Excel skills and exposure to large ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to communicate complex accounting matters clearly to both finance and non-finance audiences.

Responsibilities

Working within a specialist financial reporting team, you will play a key role in supporting the preparation of financial statements across multiple group entities, managing technical accounting projects, and acting as the primary contact for external auditors on technical matters.

Description

Financial Accountant responsibilities include:
