Are you highly organised, innovative and would like to lead and drive a motivated and class-leading risk engineering team, whose primary goal is to provide top quality market-leading risk management advice to Aviva and our customers? If you are looking for a new challenge, then this may be the role for you!

We are seeking someone to manage our Global Corporate & Specialty (GCS) Renewable Energy team and lead the Technical Proposition for Commercial Lines (Mid-Market & GCS). This person will be responsible and accountable for the Renewable Energy proposition for all technologies (offshore and onshore wind, battery energy storage systems, solar, hydrogen, hydro, etc.), managing the team and its performance, enabling a cross-collaborative risk engineering approach with other areas of the business, delivering technical advice, and managing key accounts.

This role is part of the Aviva Risk Management Solutions Leadership Team and requires you to be a role model. A key objective is to further develop and deliver first-class risk management that supports the company’s goal to be the leading insurer in its market.

This role is home-based and flexible, with the possibility of working in the UK and requiring regular travel to the London Office (e.g., weekly).

About the job:

• Responsible for the risk engineering proposition and services for a market-leading portfolio, covering all Renewable Energy technologies, providing innovative solutions to help prevent loss and reduce exposure.
• Managing a team of at least 4 home-based Risk Consultants, servicing UK and international customers to ensure high-quality service.
• Collaborating with Underwriting, Claims, and Client Relationship teams, managing risks, and handling technical referrals.
• Supporting new business development and client retention through presentations and reporting, developing external relationships, and promoting risk management understanding.
• Being an integral part of the Aviva Risk Management Solutions Leadership Team and leading sector thought leadership initiatives.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

• Renewable Energy technical expertise, including operational and maintenance experience in technologies such as offshore/onshore wind, battery storage, solar, etc.
• Strong presentation and customer engagement skills, with influencing and negotiating experience.
• Excellent coordination skills and experience leading risk engineering programs.
• Ability to stay updated on technological advances, develop ideas, drive change, and adapt to a changing landscape.
