We are looking for a proactive and technically experienced Technical Account Manager to manage key customer accounts in the Processed Food sector. This is a field-based role focused on delivering technical service, maintaining strong client relationships, and optimising performance to meet or exceed revenue and profit targets.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage assigned accounts, ensuring service delivery, revenue retention, and profitability.
· Provide technical support and hands-on service, including:
o Training customer staff on safe chemical handling
o Supporting hygiene schedule development
o Optimising chemical application systems and processes
· Design, negotiate, and manage commercial offers and contracts
· Apply a value-based selling approach to build and retain long-term customer relationships
· Use CRM tools to maintain territory plans and customer reporting
· Support growth through gap analysis, cross-selling, and service optimisation
· Identify and develop new business opportunities aligned with objectives
· Participate in SMART goal setting and continuous improvement initiatives
What You’ll Bring:
· Previous experience in a similar technical or commercial role within the Processed Food sector
· Ideally a degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related discipline
· Internal Auditor qualification (BRC or equivalent) preferred
· At least 2 years’ experience in food manufacturing or processing
· Technical knowledge of OPC, CIP systems, chemical applications, and hygiene practices
· Strong understanding of value selling and operational optimisation
