Overview

Technical Account Manager – Location: Redditch. Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience). Hours: Monday-Thursday 7:30am - 4:30pm | Friday 7:30am - 1:30pm. Holiday: 25 days + 8 bank holidays. Benefits: Employee Assistance Programme, Pension.

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Technical Account Manager to join our team. In this role, you will act as the bridge between sales, engineering, and customer service, ensuring that client accounts are managed efficiently and technical requirements are met. You will be responsible for providing accurate quotations, technical drawing support, and account oversight to maintain strong customer relationships and support business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary contact for assigned customer accounts, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
  • Understand customer needs, applications, and technical requirements in depth.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate quotations based on customer specifications and project scope.
  • Ensure quotations align with company pricing strategies and margin targets.
  • Monitor account performance and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Follow up on quotations to support conversion and maintain pipeline visibility.
  • Create and modify technical drawings using CPQ software and AutoCAD.
  • Coordinate with engineering, production, and logistics to ensure timely and accurate delivery of solutions.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Proven experience in technical account management, sales engineering, or a similar role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Basic knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD preferred).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Desirable
  • Experience in the marine industry.
  • Familiarity with ERP and CRM systems.
  • Technical qualification in engineering or industrial design.
