JOB DESCRIPTION

Symphony is seeking a Technical Account Manager (TAM) to maintain and grow Symphony implementations with enterprise accounts. The TAM works closely with Symphony Sales, Account Management, Product Management, Support, Customer Success, and Engineering teams to ensure Symphony’s product and service meet clients’ expectations.

As the trusted technical advisor to Symphony customers, the TAM is responsible for the health & growth of Symphony technology and integrations within their book of business, serving as the point of contact for technical service issues. The TAM develops and reinforces strong client relationships, especially with key partners and decision makers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Discuss product architecture, compliance, security, and risk with stakeholders. Coordinate internally for support on these topics.
  2. Take ownership of all technical and product initiatives for designated accounts. Work with Sales to ensure retention and increase penetration of enterprise accounts.
  3. Work with Account Managers to map out account structure, identify decision makers, and establish touchpoints for technical operations.
  4. Partner with Sales on presales opportunities.
  5. Gather product requirements and advocate for customer needs within Symphony. Work closely with product teams to provide product roadmap updates to customers.
  6. Develop a comprehensive understanding of the customer environment and operational constraints. Ensure customer configurations are documented and part of the product development lifecycle.
  7. Work with accounts to establish a well-defined IT and business process for cloud and on-prem deployments. Coordinate go-to-market for new product features to ensure the best customer experience.
  8. Provide detailed reviews of technical operations performance, metrics, and service disruptions to management and customers.
  9. Assist Support Engineers in troubleshooting technical issues and service outages. Responsible for escalation to Symphony senior management to ensure timely resolution.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Deep understanding of networking, security, and related technologies.
  2. Experience with firewalls, proxies, load balancers, SSL/TLS, Certificates/PKI, encryption algorithms, and compliance concerns in financial institutions.
  3. Knowledge of cloud technologies/services (AWS/GCP), containerization, orchestration, CI/CD, and cloud application architecture.
  4. Basic understanding of application development, with some coding experience in languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, or .NET.
  5. Understanding of desktop tech, OS, security policies, software distribution, and MDM.
  6. 7+ years proven experience as a TAM, Solutions Architect, or Sales Engineer.
  7. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to engage C-level decision makers.
  8. Self-motivated with a deep understanding of Symphony's product and technical stack.
  9. Organized, analytical, and able to distill complex requirements into clear results.
  10. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Math, or related field, or equivalent experience.
