Overview

3rd Party Technical Account Manager

Days of Work: Monday to Friday

Location: Glenfield (LE3 8JR) and Barrow Upon Soar (LE12 8LD)

The Role: Our Jason's brand is continuing to grow, and we need to ensure that our 3rd party partners we take on board to manufacture on our behalf, work to the same Food Safety, Quality and Integrity Standards as ourselves. Working alongside the NPD manager you will be responsible for initial product approval in line with Brand requirements, supplier approval including audit and action close outs, specification sign off and artwork sign offs. This role is a supplier facing position that will bring any gaps between our technical standards and the suppliers current position aligned. You will ensure supplier efficiencies, Food Safety standards, provide guidance, support and strategic solutions in order for successful launch and continued Quality and Integrity.

Key Areas of Responsibility
  • Providing Technical Guidance and support to the 3rd Party NPD Manager
  • Conduct onboarding audits for 3rd party supplier and continuous monitoring audits as production progresses
  • Attend pre-production and 1st production trails of launching new products
  • Provide guidance and support to suppliers where necessary
  • Review supplier specifications of raw materials to ensure they are in line with company requirements
  • Create technical information for artwork back of packs and review proposed designs in line with Regulation No. 1169/2011, the Food Information to Consumers (FIC) Regulation
  • Review Microbiological and chemical analysis to ensure product conforms to legal limits and any claims can be justified.
  • Agree in conjunction with the 3rd Party NPD Manager, quality attributes minimum and target standards.
  • Create customer specifications for 3rd party finished products in Company format.
  • Project planning in conjunction with the 3rd Party NPD Manager
  • Create and maintain records of all meetings and actions with supplier to ensure transparency and update relevant parties on progress.
  • Continuous Professional Development to ensure understanding of Regulation, retailer and BRCGS requirements are kept up to date.
  • Conduct buy backs of products following launches and raise any issues in conjunction with the NPD Manager.
  • Instigate mock product recall exercises based on risk to the business on 3rd party manufacturers.
  • Co-ordinate complaint investigations and draw up responses for the Complaint Co-ordinator following conclusion of the investigation.
  • Monitor all supplier performances on adherence to quality and number of complaints.
