THE ROLE:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tech Team Lead (Back End) to join and guide our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and deployment of scalable and high-performing backend systems while mentoring and leading a team of talented developers. The ideal candidate will have a deep technical background, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for building robust solutions that align with business objectives.

What will you be doing:

  • Lead the design and development of backend systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Architect and implement clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to best practices and coding standards.
  • Review code, provide constructive feedback, and enforce quality control through peer reviews.
  • Drive the adoption of modern technologies, tools, and frameworks to improve team efficiency and system quality.
  • Mentor and guide backend developers, fostering their technical and professional growth.
  • Allocate tasks, set priorities, and manage workloads to meet project deadlines.
  • Create a collaborative and supportive team environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Act as a bridge between team members and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on goals.
  • Work closely with product managers, frontend teams, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Collaborate with DevOps/SRE teams to ensure smooth deployments and efficient CI/CD pipelines.
  • Partner with QA teams to identify and address bugs, performance issues, and potential risks early in the development cycle.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of professional experience in backend development, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or mentoring role.
  • Strong proficiency in backend programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js, Golang, .NET).
  • Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs, GraphQL, or other API architectures.
  • Deep understanding of database systems (SQL and NoSQL), schema design, and optimization techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
