Qualifications

  • Technical experience in electrical equipment support is essential.
  • Fluent English is required; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and calibrate Fronius welding equipment at customer sites.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for customers.
  • Assist with pre-sales and after-sales support to the sales team.

Job description

Based within the Sheffield area and reporting to our head office in Milton Keynes, the Tech Support System Engineer will be responsible for the installation, service, repair, and calibration of Fronius Welding equipment, in-house and at customer sites.


Tasks & Responsibilities


  1. Repair of Fronius welding equipment including inverters, torches, hose packs, and automated systems
  2. Providing support to customers and troubleshooting
  3. Providing service and calibration of welding equipment
  4. Safety test and weld test after repair and servicing
  5. Providing technical support for the introduction of new products/systems/processes into the market
  6. Providing email and telephone support for technical and welding queries/problems
  7. Providing pre-sales and after-sales support to sales team and customers
  8. Providing support to demonstration of welding equipment
  9. Assisting with events (trade fairs, seminars, etc.)
  10. Assisting with stock control

Skills & Requirements


  1. Technical experience preferably on technical support of electrical equipment
  2. Electrical engineering qualification
  3. IT skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel & Word)
  4. Basic knowledge of manual electrode, TIG, and MIG/MAG welding processes will be an advantage
  5. Sales-minded/good customer communication skills
  6. Good communication skills and knowledge transfer abilities
  7. Single & 3-phase electrical fault find and repair skills
  8. Competent in build/assembly installation of machinery and testing
  9. Team worker
  10. Flexibility (working hours and tasks arranged to suit customer requirements)
  11. Customer-oriented attitude with a professional approach to clients

Language


  1. Fluent English (spoken and written)
  2. German would be an advantage but not essential.
