Job summary

Softcat invites university students to join its Technical & Services Internship Programme for a 12-month placement. You’ll gain hands-on experience, lead on real projects, and make a genuine impact across Cyber Security, Advisory, Project Management and other teams.

Start date is 5 July 2027, with early-life induction and flexible hybrid working. Apply by 30 November 2026; video interview by 20 December 2026; virtual assessment in February 2027 and final interviews in March/April 2027.

Qualifications

• A current undergraduate University student studying in the UK/Ireland in your penultimate year, with a Technology/IT based degree discipline
• Passionate about tech and eager to learn
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships externally and internally
• The ability to use your own initiative and work independently or as part of a team
• Demonstrate an alignment to our Softcat values & inclusive culture

Responsibilities

• Join a specialist team and take on meaningful responsibilities and duties
• Support technical projects and customer engagements
• Collaborate and engage across departments to deliver top-tier service
• Build key skills such as technical knowledge, communication, time management, prioritisation and organisation
• Work with other Softcat Interns on exciting group projects
• Learning about your team and department and how they contribute to Softcat's success
