Job Description
The Role
A Manager with a SAP Controls focus within the team would typically be responsible for driving growth of all of our SAP service lines as part of the wider ERP & Business systems team, developing new business from existing clients and new prospects, building deep and enduring relationships with blue chip organisations and establishing themselves as a subject matter expert in this type of assurance and consulting support.
Responsibilities
- Managing sales activities such as responding to RFPs/ audit tenders, bid management, proposal writing and client presentations.
- Leading and managing SAP security and controls engagements, including planning, execution, and reporting.
- Evaluating the design and effectiveness of SAP controls throughout the business cycles.
- Responsibility for the overall output from client engagements.
- Overseeing the scoping, financial management, managing delivery risk, production and review of deliverables.
- Building and managing excellent networks and client relationships (typically at CIO, CFO and Head of Internal Audit level) across a range of organisations.
- Working collaboratively with multiple workstreams to design and implement Controls for SAP implementation programmes.
- Developing internal networks and maintaining excellent relationships with colleagues across KPMG, promoting the ERP & Business Systems capability specifically for SAP and informing other KPMG services and capability groups of the value it could add to their engagements.
- Be responsible for expanding SAP services in specific IMG segments, e.g., B2C and B2B, while also working across other sectors.
- Coaching and developing team members, both as SAP specialists, and training wider Technology Risk Consulting team members in areas like ERP analytics and audit integration.
- Leading product development and innovation in SAP GRC, data, and analytics technologies to keep KPMG’s offerings market-leading globally.
The Person
Experience and Background
- Experience in SAP Security (e.g., Basis & Role design)
- Experience in SAP business analysis and core financial processes (procure to pay, record to report, order to cash within SAP)
- Experience with core ERP and business systems, including SAP and Oracle
- Functional experience with SAP GRC, Financials, and BPC
- Strong understanding of SAP applications, ECC, S/4HANA, and other modules
- Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley controls and readiness
- Understanding of supporting technology platforms
- Ability to present on industry-specific subjects to large groups
- Understanding of system risks and controls, and ability to communicate these effectively
- Excellent client and internal relationship development skills
- Ability to deliver within tight deadlines, budgets, and quality standards
