Job summary

HSBC is seeking an experienced Senior Operations Manager to join the Chief Technology Office Infrastructure (CTOi) team in the UK. You will lead operations and strategic finance, workforce, vendor management and optimisation initiatives to deliver measurable cost reductions and simplification.

You will develop business cases, define long‑term vendor strategies, provide executive reporting and enable timely senior leader decisions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience driving operational performance and commercial optimisation across finance, workforce and vendor management.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence across Technology, Procurement, Finance and Risk.
• Experience managing complex vendor arrangements, including multi-year contracts valued at $50m+.

Responsibilities

• Develop business cases to support delivery of strategic objectives
• Define and execute long-term strategies for major vendors, commercial optimisation and infrastructure simplification
• Provide clear executive reporting, decision support and risk insight to enable timely sponsor and senior-leader decisions
• Lead optimisation planning and execution, ensuring alignment with CTO strategy, target architecture, and operational priorities
