This is an exciting opportunity for a Tech Lead to work remotely for a service provider in Manchester embarking on a digital transformation journey.

The company has been providing services to SMEs across the UK for over 20 years. Following recent investment, they’ve grown significantly through acquisitions and aim to triple in size by 2025.

As a Tech Lead, you’d report to the Director of Engineering. In this purely technical leadership role (without line management responsibilities), you’d lead a small team of software engineers.

The current team includes individuals new to good engineering practices and DevOps concepts. You’d be responsible for creating a mentoring and coaching environment to develop engineering capabilities and promote knowledge sharing, including practices like CI/CD, TDD, BDD, and pair/mob programming.

Skills

• Automated testing (MS Test, Junit, Spock, JMeter, Gatling, Selenium, Jest, Enzyme)
• Best practices (SOLID, TDD, BDD, CI/CD, pair/mob programming)

The salary is competitive – up to £75k plus benefits, including flexible and remote working options.
