Your opportunity

The Tech Lead – Cloud COE is a senior, hands-on engineering role responsible for leading the implementation, operations, and optimization of Azure cloud infrastructure across the enterprise. This role combines deep technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, guiding a team of cloud engineers and driving excellence in cloud delivery, automation, networking, identity, and security.

  • Cloud Infrastructure & Operations
    • Govern and lead the provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management of Azure resources (VMs, storage, containers, managed services)
    • Oversee BAU operations including patching, updates, and performance tuning
    • Support workload migrations and cloud-native deployments
    • Work close with Infrastructure Architecture team to align to EA architecture and strategic project planning
  • Cloud Networking
    • Govern and implement Azure networking: VNets, NSGs, route tables, VPN gateways, ExpressRoute, private endpoints
    • Troubleshoot complex connectivity issues across hybrid and multi-cloud environments
    • Optimize network performance, latency, and security posture
  • Automation & Infrastructure-as-Code
    • Design and maintain automation using PowerShell, Bash, Python
    • Lead IaC practices using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates
    • Integrate infrastructure provisioning into CI/CD pipelines
  • Identity, Access & Security
    • Manage Cloud Entra ID (Azure AD) configurations, including tenant setup and synchronization
    • Implement SSO integrations and manage RBAC across subscriptions and resources
    • Enforce security policies, compliance controls, and assist in vulnerability remediation
  • Monitoring, Incident Response & Optimization
    • Configure and manage Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Network Watcher
    • Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and resolution workflows
    • Continuously optimize cloud resource usage and cost (FinOps awareness – Flexera Preffered)
  • Team Leadership & Collaboration
    • Mentor and guide cloud engineers within the Cloud COE team
    • Collaborate with platform, security, and application teams to ensure cloud alignment
    • Contribute to cloud standards, reusable patterns, and operational excellence

Must have skills
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering, with deep expertise in Azure
  • Proven experience leading technical teams and delivering enterprise-scale cloud solutions
  • Strong knowledge of Azure networking, identity, security, and automation
  • Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python) and IaC tools (Terraform, Bicep)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
