Job summary

GSK is seeking a Director, Business Operations for Digital Platforms and Technology Foundations (DPTF). This role manages the budget, forecast cycle, cost transparency and governance for the function, leading the central business operations team and shaping the cost model across domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Technology Management, or related field.
• Deep experience in technology finance, business operations, commercial management or a comparable discipline, including line leadership of professional teams.
• Proven experience owning the budget and forecast for a large technology function or business unit.
• Experience building cost transparency, including unit cost or FinOps reporting, and using it to change spending behaviour.
• Experience running the operating rhythm and management reporting of a function, not only its finances.
• Experience managing a funded establishment, including budgeted positions, vacancy tracking and contractor cost mix.

Responsibilities

• Own the DPTF budget and forecast cycle, ensuring the function's cost base is planned, tracked and reported accurately and to the enterprise finance timetable.
• Own enterprise unit economics and cost-to-serve for DPTF, supported by a maturity roadmap and reporting.
• Own the domain technology finance standard and central submissions cadence and escalation.
• Lead the operational governance of DPTF as a function and its planning cycles.
• Partner with Finance Business Partners on budgeting, forecasting, accruals and financial control.
• Challenge spend against plan across domains and present variance and opportunities to leadership.
• Own the funded establishment for DPTF, tracking positions and contractor mix.
• Provide operational and financial insight to the DPTF Leadership Team on spend and health.
• Ensure alignment of financial information with investment, value and performance picture.
• Ensure compliance with GSK financial policy and audit readiness.
• Drive process automation and AI-enabled analytics to accelerate forecasting and reporting.
• Lead and develop the business operations team and federated finance community.
