Job summary

Employal in Leicester is seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join a technology-led financial services business. You will analyse financial information, identify policy details and provide technical support to colleagues across the company.

The role requires previous paraplanning experience and a Level 4 financial planning qualification, with hybrid working and a salary of £40,000–£45,000 per year. You will contribute to accurate processes and support transfer and consolidation cases.

Qualifications

• Previous paraplanning experience
• Level 4 financial planning or paraplanning qualification or working towards one
• Strong knowledge of pensions and retirement products
• Experience interpreting provider information and policy documentation
• Understanding of charges, guarantees, safeguarded benefits and transfer considerations
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Strong organisational skills and consistent follow-through
• Proactive, reliable approach and an interest in financial technology

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and analysing information received from financial providers
• Identifying policy features, charges, benefits and potential restrictions
• Highlighting guarantees, safeguarded benefits and other details requiring further investigation
• Preparing clear, accurate summaries of complex financial information
• Liaising with providers and internal colleagues to resolve technical queries
• Obtaining missing information and checking documentation for accuracy and completeness
• Supporting the review of transfer and consolidation cases
• Maintaining accurate records across internal systems
• Managing workload to meet deadlines and service standards
