Job summary

Rightmove Group is seeking a qualified solicitor for a 6-month contract in the UK. You will join a high-profile legal team, review and negotiate commercial agreements, support IP and brand protection, and assist on strategic corporate projects in a fast-paced tech environment.

You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, ensure data protection compliance, and help define practical, business-friendly legal solutions. Hybrid working with in-office days is offered.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales (or equivalent jurisdiction).
• 2-5 years’ PQE, ideally with some in-house experience, or from a leading law firm with exposure to commercial legal work.
• Experience working in-house at a fast-paced, technology-led company is essential.
• Good understanding or working knowledge of basic data protection principles.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
• Clear communicator with the ability to explain legal concepts simply and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Commercial contracts: reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements in a fast-paced tech environment.
• Intellectual property & brand protection: support for enforcement and brand protection efforts to safeguard assets and reputation.
• Corporate project work: assist on broad strategic corporate projects and manage legal risk.
• Dispute resolution: assist with low-level disputes and pre-litigation matters, offering practical solutions.
• Legal operations & process improvement: maintain and improve legal tools and workflows, including contract management systems; embrace AI and technology to boost efficiency.
• Inbox & business support: triage legal queries, provide clear actions and expectations.
• Cross-functional collaboration: provide timely legal advice across the business, partnering with product teams to review products and initiatives.
