Yet change is coming fast: 77% of Italian consumers say they want to buy more insurance online in the future. Generative AI is set to reshape the insurance industry. And households are actively seeking smarter, simpler ways to insure what they love, without paperwork or phone calls.

The Tech Co-Founder & CTO Role

You’ll work side-by-side with the Founder & CEO to bring Tuttoaposto from concept to product-market fit and beyond. You’ll lead the design and build of our MVP, data infrastructure, and API-first architecture, setting the foundation for how we acquire, underwrite, and serve customers in a way that’s 10x better than legacy insurers.

This is ahands-on, full-stack leadership role.You’ll need to move fast, solve hard problems, and obsess over building high-quality systems that support seamless integrations, smart underwriting, and frictionless experiences.

What you’ll be doing

• Own the technical roadmap, architecture, and execution of Tuttoaposto’s platform from day one
• Build and launch the MVPusing lean, modern technologies (utilising low/no-code, AI-powered IDEs, external APIs, pre-built insurance tools where useful)
• Design, integrate, and managedata pipelinesacross property data, IoT, geospatial risk, customer behavior, and third-party APIs
• BuildTuttoaposto’s own API layer, allowing seamless embedding into distribution partner flows
• Collaborate to the foundation of models forautomated pricing and underwriting logic, integrating insurance carrier data and market benchmarks
• Set up internal tools for AI-powered claims handling and CX automation
• Hire and lead the early engineering team, shaping culture, process, and technical standards
• Work closely with product, insurance, and growth to iterate rapidly and deliver measurable customer value

What we’re looking for

• Strong experience as atechnical founder, engineering lead, or staff-level engineerin a startup or fast-scaling tech company
• Proven ability toship MVPs fast, with a pragmatic approach to technical debt and iteration
• Deep understanding ofAPI design and integration, including building API endpoints that can embed into third-party platforms
• Experience withdata architecture and enrichment, particularly around consumer profiling, risk modelling, or real-time personalisation
• Fluent inmodern full-stack development(e.g., Node.js, Python, React/Next.js, PostgreSQL, Firebase, etc.)
• Experience (or curiosity) aroundinsurance, fintech, or regulated markets
• Bonus: Experience withAI/ML applications, IoT integration, or geospatial data
• Remote-friendly role, with a preference for future relocation or frequent travel to Milan.
• Italian language skills are a plus, but not required.
