Job summary

M&G plc is seeking an IT Audit Assignment specialist to strengthen our Technology Risk and Internal Audit capabilities within a Financial Services context. You will engage with Technology and third-party risk stakeholders to identify controls improvements and deliver meaningful audit outcomes.

The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration and the use of data analytics and AI tools to drive audit quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering Technology Audits or IT Risk Audits within Financial Services.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to lead technology audit assignments with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Planning & Risk Assessment: plan and scope technology audits; identify key risks and controls; prepare planning documents and testing strategies; leverage data analytics and AI tools where suitable.
• Audit Performance: perform risk-based testing, assess controls over technology services and third-party providers; produce high-quality workpapers; utilise data analytics to improve delivery.
• Audit Reporting: communicate findings clearly; draft observations and reports with minimal supervision; support remediation discussions.
• Business Partnering: build relationships with Technology, Information Security, Procurement and stakeholders; stay engaged on emerging risks.
• Team Management: coach and mentor junior auditors; provide constructive feedback and promote collaboration.
• Audit Community: contribute to continuous improvement and share best practices in technology risk auditing.
