Job summary
Accenture in the UK is seeking a Senior Cloud Architect/Associate Manager to design and deliver cloud-first solutions for tier-1 clients, turning cloud strategy into reality across London and Birmingham.
You will work with AWS and other cloud services, integrating AI/ML and Generative AI while focusing on security, governance and cost efficiency. Mentors teams and contributes to architecture reviews.
Qualifications
- Significant hands-on experience designing and implementing AWS cloud solutions.
- Experience deploying AI/ML and Generative AI on AWS.
- Familiar with LLMs, RAG, vector stores and prompt engineering.
- Knowledge of Responsible AI, governance, security and compliance.

- Design and deliver cloud-native AI and Generative AI solutions on AWS using services such as Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Q and SageMaker.
- Identify opportunities for AI-driven business transformation and architect intelligent solutions that improve business processes and operational efficiency.
- Support the design and implementation of Agentic AI solutions, including AI agents that can interact with enterprise systems, orchestrate workflows and automate business tasks in a secure and governed manner.
- Design and implement AWS workloads using modern cloud patterns such as serverless, containerised, and microservices architectures.
- Develop scalable application solutions aligned with best practice for performance, resilience, and cost efficiency.
- Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks to support rapid delivery.
- Apply cloud security principles, including identity and access management, encryption, and compliance controls.
- Optimise architectures for scalability, reliability, and operational excellence.
- Produce high-quality design documentation and contribute to architecture reviews.
- Execute testing strategies for functional and non-functional requirements (performance, security, reliability).
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver robust, cloud-first solutions.
- Significant hands-on experience designing and implementing solutions using AWS cloud services.
- Experience designing and deploying AI/ML and Generative AI solutions using AWS services.
- Experience integrating Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) and vector database technologies into enterprise applications.
- Exposure to Agentic AI concepts, AI orchestration frameworks or intelligent automation solutions.
- Understanding of Responsible AI principles, AI governance, security, privacy and compliance considerations.
- AWS Professional and/or Associate certification (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development through cloud, architecture and AI certifications.
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable, secure cloud architectures.
- Experience in cost optimisation and familiarity with cloud best practices.
- Strong understanding of data platforms and analytics solutions.
- Experience designing AI/ML-driven solutions and data lifecycle management.
- Knowledge of Generative AI solution patterns including LLMs, RAG architectures, embeddings, vector stores and prompt engineering.
- Understanding of Agentic AI concepts including agent orchestration, planning, memory, tool usage and human-in-the-loop controls.
- Experience designing scalable data architectures to support AI and machine learning workloads.
- Proficiency in designing application workloads using modern cloud patterns (e.g., serverless, containerised, microservices).
- Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Experience designing intelligent applications that incorporate Generative AI, conversational AI or agent-based capabilities.
- Familiarity with integrating enterprise applications with AI services and model APIs.
- Deep knowledge of identity, access management, encryption, and compliance frameworks.
- Ability to implement security best practices across cloud environments.
- Understanding of AI security considerations including prompt injection protection, model governance, sensitive data handling and Responsible AI controls.
- Understanding of integration patterns and event-driven architectures.
- Ability to design APIs and hybrid connectivity solutions.
- Experience designing highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable solutions.
- Knowledge of disaster recovery strategies.
- Ability to design for performance, resilience, and observability.
- Familiarity with monitoring and optimisation practices.
- Awareness of cloud governance, account management, and compliance standards.
- Ability to enforce auditing and cost allocation strategies.
- AWS Specialty certifications (e.g., Advanced Networking, Machine Learning, Security).
- AWS AI Practitioner Certification.
- AWS Machine Learning Specialty or AWS Certified Machine Learning Engineer.
- Industry-recognised Generative AI, Responsible AI or Agentic AI certifications.
- Microsoft, Google Cloud or equivalent AI/ML certifications would be advantageous.
- Experience delivering enterprise-scale Generative AI solutions.
- Experience with AI orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel or equivalent.
- Experience integrating AI agents with enterprise applications and business workflows.
- Familiarity with AI observability, model evaluation and Responsible AI governance frameworks.
- Advantageous to have experience with other cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud).
