TEC Assessor & Install Technician – Community Care

Job summary

Medequip Connect in Rotherham is seeking a TEC Assessor Technician to deliver Technology Enabled Care assessments, installations and ongoing support in the community. You will identify needs, assess risks and tailor TEC packages to promote independence and wellbeing.

Hours: 37.5 per week (Mon-Sat). You will install equipment at service users' homes, provide aftercare and work with health and social care professionals. Driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• GCSE level education including Maths and English.
• Experience working with vulnerable adults (older adults, disabilities, mental health).
• Experience completing assessments and recommending TEC or assistive tech solutions.
• Strong IT skills; ability to learn new tech.
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Empathetic, calm, customer-focused approach; ability to work independently.
• Ability to work at height (step ladder).

Responsibilities

• Carry out TEC assessments for people with disabilities, frailty or complex needs.
• Install, upgrade and demonstrate TEC equipment in service users' homes.
• Recommend TEC solutions based on assessed needs and risks.
• Provide aftercare, education and ongoing support to users and carers.
• Conduct service calls, fault-finding, and equipment maintenance.
