Job description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The post holder will be expected to provide the day to day comprehensive, confidential, and efficient secretarial and administrative support to all team members of the Clinical Team within the CMHT. This will include typing of clinics using digital dictation, diary management, general clinic management and all aspects of keeping EMIS up to date with relevant patient information. Also dealing with varied enquires from patients and relatives.

You should

  • be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office to set up documents and maintain and update databases/spreadsheets,
  • be competent in the use of a range of computer packages evidenced by experience or formal qualifications e.g. ECDL.
  • be able to work independently much of the time managing calls and emails
  • have knowledge of working in an office environment and of operation of office equipment and systems. This may be through formal training or work experience.
