An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team Manager to be recruited for North Ayrshire Throughcare and Aftercare service. The successful candidate should offer experience in managing a similar setting e.g Children and Families Locality team. The post incorporates management of part of the North Ayrshire package of support to Unaccompanied and Trafficked Young people.

There is also an expectation that the preferred candidate will chair North Ayrshire's Fostering and Adoption panels, which take place on a monthly basis within the organisation. This is a vital role in ensuring that decisions regarding the future of children and young people are made with care, integrity and in line with best practice. As Panel Chair, you will lead the panel in making recommendations to the Agency Decision Maker, about adoption, permanence, and fostering placements. You will ensure that the panel operates in accordance with legislative requirements and reflects the values of fairness, transparency, and child-centred decision-making. You should therefore have a sound understanding of fostering, adoption and permanence processes in Scotland, alongside significant experience within children's services and a commitment to promoting the welfare and rights of children.
