Job description

Team Manager - Qualified Social Work

Location: West Midlands

Pay rate: £30 per hour

Our client is seeking a Team Manager to lead a Children's Team. In this role, you will manage a social work team, ensuring effective service delivery and positive outcomes for children and their families. You will oversee that social workers meet statutory requirements as per legislation, national, and regional guidance concerning children in need, child protection, looked after children, and care leavers.

Working in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, guided by the values and principles of social care, you will support the delivery of person-centered, safe, and effective social care services. Using your professional knowledge and experience, you will make assessments and decisions about appropriate interventions. Your significant Social Work experience and excellent communication skills will help you establish and maintain relationships with service users and other agencies to meet identified needs.

You will be committed to achieving positive and sustainable outcomes. By applying best practices, you will strive to deliver the best results for children. Most importantly, you will have a passion for supporting children and their families to thrive and flourish. Our priority is to protect the most vulnerable and operate efficiently.

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
  • Experience working with children and families, including vulnerable groups
  • Creative, flexible, and forward-thinking approach
  • Knowledge of Child Protection legislation and issues
  • Continuous improvement mindset to achieve the best outcomes
  • Excellent mediation and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build meaningful relationships with children and families
  • Commitment to high-quality service delivery
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary, interagency settings
  • 4+ years of qualified experience
