Should you be successful in your application, your offer will be conditional upon providing your bank account details before your start date.

Becoming a manager in a Tesco Store involves a driving role in serving Britain's shoppers a little better every day.

This role offers a chance to test your skills, experience, and instincts; to chase opportunities, find better ways of working, and ensure customer satisfaction.

You will be a role model, helping colleagues understand and love our products and services, involving everyone in community projects, and demonstrating what we can achieve together. You'll also have the opportunity to grow your team by spotting talent and providing feedback and support.

We expect you to maximize sales, impact, and presentation for your department, while ensuring safety, compliance, and proper staffing.

This role is about leadership on the store floor, leading from the front with colleagues and customers.

Do you have the attitude, aptitude, and aspiration to be a great retail manager?

It’s a role for those who love retail and prioritize people in everything they do. You will:

  • Share and encourage new ideas and best practices with colleagues
  • Be warm, welcoming, and attentive to others
  • Build a strong team spirit and a network beyond the store

Our best leaders have a natural ability to:

  • Look ahead and seize opportunities
  • Act quickly for colleagues and customers
  • Thrive on change and lead through it

Exceeding expectations and knowing how to perform at your best are key.

Our vision at Tesco is to become every customer's favorite way to shop, whether at home or on the move. Our core purpose is 'Serving our customers, communities, and planet a little better every day.'

Diversity, equity, and inclusion at Tesco mean everyone should feel represented and able to be themselves at work. We are committed to an inclusive and accessible recruitment process, supporting flexible working arrangements.

Please note:

  • Tesco recruits individuals who have passed the school leaver’s age. Check the school leaver age for your country here.
  • Candidates over 18 are only accepted for roles requiring early morning or late evening shifts, or working in specific areas like warehouse, beverages, bakery, or driving roles.
  • High application volumes may lead to roles closing earlier than advertised. Feedback is only provided to interviewees.
