Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Network and IT Comms Manager to join our growing IT team. This pivotal role is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads a team, and contributes to the strategic management of network and IT communications systems.

As the Network and IT Communications Manager, you will design, implement, and maintain robust and secure network systems that support our global operations. You will lead a team of IT professionals, ensuring seamless connectivity, high availability, and efficient communication across all platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Your primary responsibility will be to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of network and telecommunications systems across NHS sites, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of critical infrastructure. You will oversee the deployment of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), wireless networks, and telecommunications platforms, employing best practices and industry standards to optimise system efficiency and support the evolving needs of healthcare professionals and patients.
  • In addition to managing infrastructure, you will spearhead strategic initiatives to enhance network and telecommunications security. You will develop and implement robust security policies, protocols, and procedures, leveraging advanced technologies and threat intelligence to protect against cyber threats and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as GDPR and NHS Digital Data Security and Protection Toolkit.
  • You will deputise for the Senior Manager, Networks and IT Communications where required, acting as their second in command. You will also play a key role in stakeholder engagement and relationship management, collaborating closely with internal departments, external vendors, and industry partners to align network and telecommunications strategies with organisational goals and priorities. Your ability to communicate effectively and build consensus will be instrumental in driving strategic initiatives and fostering productive partnerships.
