The closing date is 30 May 2025
The Mental Health Treatment Requirement service is looking for a full-time operational team manager based at The Parlick Centre, Guild Lodge Preston. This is an exciting opportunity within a newly commissioned team based within the Forensic Community Service.
Many offenders experience mental health and substance misuse problems, but the use of treatment requirements as part of a Community Order (CO) or Suspended Sentence Order (SSO) remains low. Improved partnership working can increase the use of treatment requirements, particularly as an appropriate alternative to short custodial sentences.
The three treatment requirements are: Mental Health Treatment Requirements (MHTRs), Drug Rehabilitation Requirements (DRRs) and Alcohol Treatment Requirements (ATRs).
A Primary Care Mental Health Treatment Requirement (MHTR) is a psychological intervention (non-medicating) and is one of three possible treatment requirements, which may be made part of a Community Order or Suspended Order sentence.
Individuals are assessed using different psychometric assessment tools by the MHTR practitioner. Suitability for the MHTR is determined by the professional opinion of the Clinical Lead.
Flexible working requests can be considered.
