Job Description:
  1. Assess the needs of children and young people requiring social work services, including identifying risks and the need for protection.
  2. Develop, coordinate, and deliver multi-agency plans to meet assessed needs, and review these plans regularly.
  3. Identify unmet needs and gaps in service provision to inform resource allocation and service development.
  4. Engage other professionals, statutory, and voluntary agencies in service delivery following assessments.
  5. Manage an allocated workload within a team setting.
  6. Comply with statutory obligations, departmental policies, and procedures.
  7. Maintain accurate, up-to-date records on the Integrated Children’s System (ICS).
  8. Prepare for and participate in professional supervision sessions and staff meetings; utilize available training and development opportunities.
  9. Contribute to the evaluation and development of services and new ideas by sharing knowledge with colleagues and interested bodies.
  10. Provide professional support to newly qualified and less experienced social workers to facilitate their development.
