Reading Borough Council is seeking an experienced Team Manager to lead the Integrated Assessment Service in Reading. The role ensures timely assessments and safeguarding, guiding a team of social workers, managing workloads and risk, and promoting continuous improvement across partnerships.
You will drive high-quality practice, oversee complex child protection and planning processes, and contribute to workforce development and policy.
Team Managers are expected to work from the office during their designated Duty Week. Outside of Duty Week, the role operates on a hybrid working arrangement.

As Team Manager, you'll provide operational leadership and oversight of referrals requiring assessment, ensuring statutory responsibilities are met and that assessments, child protection enquiries and planning processes are completed to a high standard and within timescales.
