Job description

Our client, Leicestershire County Council, is seeking a part-time agency Team Manager for its Children’s First Response service.

This role will last 3 months initially, and the pay rate is £45 umbrella.

The role will involve the following:

  • We have a gap in our Team Manager structure in First Response Assessments.
  • This is a Part-time post 18.5 hours per week Weds-Friday starting asap.
  • We would need a manager to work opposite an existing manager to have responsibility for a team of 5 SW’s and 1 Senior Practitioner.
  • The manager would supervise 3 staff and be responsible for case management of this team. We operate a 5-week rolling rota onto duty and allocated back up days.
  • We would expect the manager to be office based on duty and back up days and have a presence in the office to support the team, with the expectation to be office based a minimum of 50% of the time (and 100% on duty weeks).

Requirements of the role:

  • Qualified Social Worker
  • Fully Social Work England registered
  • 3 years post-qualified experience in employment of a local authority (DFE rules)
  • Must have demonstrable experience as a Team Manager in this type of setting (assessment, duty, MASH etc.)
  • Must be able to fit in with the part-time working pattern detailed above
