Job summary

Wiltshire Council is seeking an experienced Team Manager to lead the Specialist Assessment, Intervention & Family Time (SAIFT) Team. The role focuses on shaping practice, ensuring high‑quality, child‑centred services, and developing staff within a family services context.

You will manage operations, drive strategic development, and oversee diverse functions such as Family Time Service and FDAC provision, aligning with statutory requirements and council values. A 5% market supplement is included.

Salary:£54,143- £56,293 per annum

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead our Specialist Assessment, Intervention & Family Time (SAIFT) Team as Team Manager.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated leader, holding a recognised Social Work qualification and relevant management experience, to shape and develop practice across this specialist service. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring high-quality, child-centred services that improve outcomes for children, young people and families.

The post holder will be responsible for the operational management and strategic development of the Specialist Assessment, Intervention & Family Time Team, providing leadership, direction and oversight across a range of functions. These include the Family Time Service, Care Proceedings Caseworkers, FDAC (Family Drug and Alcohol Court) provision, specialist assessment work and other associated intervention services.

As Team Manager, you will hold responsibility for the effective running of the service, ensuring performance, quality assurance, workforce development and service delivery are aligned to statutory requirements, best practice and Wiltshire Council's values and ambitions for children and families.

This position comes with a 5% market supplement payment. All market supplement payments are subject to review on an annual basis.
