Job summary

Caritas Recruitment is recruiting for a Team Manager post with Durham Children Social Services in the Families First Service. You will supervise social workers, oversee assessments and safeguarding, including care proceedings and private law cases.

You must be registered with Social Worker England, with over 3 years’ UK experience and some supervisory exposure. The role offers 37.66 per hour, 37 hours per week and flexible working arrangements, with convenient parking nearby.

Qualifications

• Registered with Social Worker England and eligible to practice in the UK.
• Leadership experience supervising social workers.
• Experience in child protection, assessments, and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the team and monitor performance against key indicators.

Job description

Team Manager Post in Durham Social Services 37.66 per hour

We have an opportunity to work for Durham Children Social Services for their Families First Service which covers assessment and safeguarding; for a Team Manager. The team is fully staffed and will be changing in line with the government reforms.

The team currently complete C&F assessments, s47 enquiries, work with children in need, child protection and children in care. The team manager will also be responsible for care proceedings and private law cases. They will be supervising Social Worker's including newly qualified Social Worker's . You will be responsible for the performance of the team in relation to key indicators and also the quality of the work.

You need to be registered with Social Worker England, have worked as a Social Worker in the UK for over 3 years and have some supervisory experience
