Job description

CWD Team Manager

The Children with Disabilities Team (CwD) is a busy service that provides support to Children Looked After, CIN, CP, and court cases. Your skills and experience with children in need, Child Protection, and children looked after, along with your knowledge of legislation and management experience in a CWD team, will make you an ideal candidate for this role. You will work within a management team to lead change and improvement efforts aimed at enhancing outcomes for children and their families.

We are looking for candidates who have:

  1. At least 4 years of post-qualifying experience in a children’s services statutory setting
  2. A commitment and passion for developing and improving services for children with disabilities
  3. Exceptional management and leadership skills
  4. Experience supervising qualified/qualifying social workers
  5. An excellent understanding of relevant legislation
  6. Knowledge of working within a multi-agency context
  7. A commitment to anti-oppressive and anti-discriminatory practice
