Job description

Gloucestershire Core CAMHS is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, skilled, and supportive individual to provide additional team manager capacity to our core CAMHS teams.

Core CAMHS provides a range of mental health services to children and young people (0 to 18) in Gloucestershire. The service is delivered by a strong multidisciplinary team of professionals offering assessment and intervention, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, emotional coping skills, and Family Therapy.

We are looking for someone who can nurture and develop our teams as we continue to offer high standards of assessment and treatment. We have made significant progress in reducing waiting times and believe this is an exciting time to join us and help develop our service.

As a Team Manager, you should have the clinical skills and knowledge to conduct CAMHS assessments and clinical risk assessments when required. You should also have experience in providing CAMHS-based mental health interventions. The successful candidate must hold a current registered professional qualification, such as psychology, mental health nursing, social work, or occupational therapy, as outlined in the person specification.

Our workforce of over 5,000 colleagues works across more than 55 sites and in people's homes. We promote a welcoming workplace culture that values civility, inclusivity, diversity, and a sense of belonging and trust.

About us

Our staff surveys and engagement opportunities allow our staff to share their experiences. The latest survey shows:

  • 72% of colleagues would recommend the Trust as a place to work, ranking us 1st among provider trusts in the South West.
  • 76% would recommend the standard of care to friends or family, also ranking us 1st in the South West.
  • 81% believe that patient and service user care is the Trust’s priority, compared to an average of 64% in similar NHS trusts in England.

While these scores are strong, we are committed to continuous improvement and aim to be a Great Place to Work with top-quartile staff satisfaction.
