About You

Are you committed to making a real difference in the lives of children and young people? We’re seeking a passionate and strategic leader — ideally with senior-level experience in a children in care provider — to join our Contracts and Quality Improvement team, where your work will directly influence the quality and impact of services delivered to vulnerable children across Nottingham. Your insight into the realities of delivering residential care, fostering, or supported accommodation will help shape a provider market that is safe, effective, and truly centred on the needs and voices of children and families.

This role is central to shaping a responsive and high-performing external provider market. You’ll lead on building and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with service providers, ensuring that commissioned services are safe, effective, and truly centred around the needs and voices of children and families. Your negotiation skills will be key in securing tailored, value-for-money packages that reflect individual care needs and aspirations.

If you’re driven by improving outcomes for children, confident in navigating complex provider landscapes, and skilled in fostering partnerships that deliver lasting change, we’d love to hear from you.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Knowledge and experience of working within the legislative framework for children's social care.
  • Experience and knowledge of contract management, quality improvement, market management, negotiation and provider performance.
  • Experience of establishing and maintaining strong and effective partnerships and working relationships
  • Ability to think with a "can do" attitude, inspiring change, thinking analytically and solution focussed mindset
  • A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
