Up to £48.00/hour (Umbrella)

About the Role

East Yorkshire County Council is looking for an experienced and driven Fostering Team Manager to provide leadership and oversight of a dedicated team supporting foster carers and children in care. Based at County Hall in Beverley, this role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact in children's lives while leading with clarity and compassion.



Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of fostering social workers and support staff

  • Ensure high-quality assessments, supervisions, and support plans for foster carers

  • ️ Promote safeguarding and permanence planning for children and young people

  • Oversee service performance, data management, and audit compliance

  • ️ Provide leadership during panel preparation, strategy meetings, and reviews

  • Collaborate with multi-agency professionals and senior leadership teams

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation, fostering standards, and practice guidance



What We're Looking For

  • Qualified Social Worker with SWE registration

  • Proven experience in children's services management, ideally in fostering

  • Strong understanding of fostering regulations, safeguarding, and LAC procedures

  • Confident leader with excellent communication, supervision, and organisational skills

  • Enhanced DBS and Photographic ID must be provided on arrival
