Children in Care Team Manager
  • Location: Doncaster
  • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
  • Hours: 36 per week
  • Salary: GBP45,691 - GBP49,646 per annum

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Children in Care Team Manager for our Social Work Service. In this pivotal role, you will oversee a team of committed social workers, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for children and young people in our care. Your leadership will be instrumental in developing and implementing effective care plans, fostering a collaborative environment, and driving continuous improvement within the team.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Lead and manage a team of social workers, providing guidance, support, and supervision to ensure high-quality care and support for children and young people.
  • Develop and implement effective care plans that meet the individual needs of children in care.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and shared responsibility among staff.
  • Drive continuous improvement in service delivery through regular reviews and the implementation of best practices.
  • Maintain strong relationships with partner agencies to ensure a coordinated approach to child care and support.
  • Monitor and manage caseloads to ensure they are realistic and sustainable, providing the necessary support to team members.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • BA or MA in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work, or an equivalent recognised qualification.
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience working with children and families, preferably as a qualified social worker.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with children, their families, colleagues, and partner agencies.
  • Ability to analyse information effectively and produce high-quality assessments.
  • Commitment to supporting families in making positive changes and enabling children to meet their potential.
  • Focus on personal and professional development.
  • High levels of motivation and resilience.
