Our Children’s Services is focused on achieving the best possible outcomes for our children and young people. As the Children & Families Team Manager, you will be leading a small team of social workers who are responding to, co-ordinating and delivering social care services to children, young people and their families for children who have a child in need plan or child protection plan, including those who may be involved in PLO and court proceedings.



As Team Manager you will play a key role in ensuring that our social workers feel supported and that high quality practice is delivered to children and families. You will demonstrate strong but compassionate leadership and provide a nurturing environment where practice will flourish to contribute to positive outcomes for our children, young people and their families.



You will receive excellent support and join a welcoming, supportive senior management team.



To be considered for interview, you will:

• Have a relevant social work qualification


• Be registered with Social Work England


• Have substantial experience as a senior social worker or in a management level social work role


• Have a strong track record of overseeing staff and performance


• Have compassion and an understanding of the needs of children and families


• Have extensive knowledge of relevant legislation, guidance and practices


• Be an excellent communicator
