A local government organization in Crewe is looking for an experienced Team Manager for their Cared for Children service. The successful candidate will manage the Court team, driving practice improvement and ensuring effective partnership working to achieve the best outcomes for the children. At Cheshire East Council, we are looking for an experienced Team Manager to join our Cared for Children service, with responsibility for managing our dedicated Court team. You will join a supportive management group, who are dedicated and passionate about driving practice improvement so that we deliver excellent outcomes for our cared for children, including timely permanence.
About you
The team is busy and fast paced and this role will suit those with extensive experience of managing a Court team or managing in a similar environment, such as within statutory child protection services. You will be able to work well under pressure and be highly organised, with the ability to ensure the team are effective in meeting deadlines and timescales.
You will work closely with colleagues from various teams and external agencies to build positive and effective working relationships which ensure effective multi-professional working.
You will be a qualified social worker, registered with Social Work England and have a minimum of 5 years post qualifying experience.

The successful candidate will:
-be responsible for the day to day management of the team; for work allocation and management oversight which ensures work is completed to a high standard
-develop the team and support effective partnership working with other services and agencies to enable children to remain living at home safely where possible
-drive practice improvement within the team to deliver excellence of practice, achieving key performance indicators and good outcomes for our children
-support your team through regular reflective, high quality supervision and a restorative approach to leadership.
