Team Manager Job Description
Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for a Team Manager within the 16+ Care Leavers Team to work full-time based in Medway.
The salary for this permanent Team Manager job is up to £64,198 per annum.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and motivate a staff team, ensuring high-quality supervision is completed regularly, including case management oversight, timely decision-making, and the effective implementation and review of children's looked-after plans and care-experienced young people's pathway plans.
- Allocate cases within statutory timescales, supporting positive transitions and ensuring looked-after children reviews and pathway plan reviews have clear objectives and outcomes.
- Complete and review performance development plans for the team, enhancing individuals' personal and professional development needs and contributing to staff retention.
- Effectively use available team performance data to monitor standards and performance, ensuring compliance with practice standards and procedures.
- Provide high-quality reflective case supervision to social workers and personal advisors, supporting the progression of children and young people's plans.
- Contribute to the management of the staffing budget for the team, approving and committing expenditure within delegated authority, and monitoring and reporting commitments to ensure the budget is not exceeded.
- Support the safer recruitment and selection of new staff, both within the team and across Children's Social Care, to ensure staffing levels are maintained.
- Deputize and support the Group Manager where necessary on all aspects relating to the development of the service and cover for other Team Managers as appropriate.
- Promote the Council's Fair Access, Diversity, and Inclusion Policy, observing the standard of conduct that prevents discrimination.
Requirements:
- A professional Social Work qualification or equivalent.
- Understanding of relevant legislation.
- Registered or eligible for registration.
- Good working knowledge of relevant legislation.
