A local authority in Warrington is looking for a dedicated Team Manager for the First Response Team in Adult Social Care. The role involves overseeing team management, supporting social workers, and ensuring compliance with safeguarding standards. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Team Manager position within the First Response Team: Adult Social Care. First Response Team is the second point of contact for all new referrals coming into Adult Social Care, the reporting of Safeguarding Adult Concerns and the Local Authority’s duty for the provision of the AMHP service to coordinate assessments under the Mental Health Act (1983 as amended 2007).
The Team Manager is responsible for overseeing the management and leadership of the Senior Practitioner, Social Workers, and Assistant Practitioners within the team, as well as supporting with the ongoing development of the team, working closely with the other Team Manager’s as well as the Service Manager.
Working hours are 37 a week, to be arranged.
As the Team Manager within First Response Team, you will possess in-depth knowledge and practical skills required for the role. Key responsibilities will be to provide direct supervision to social workers within team, chair and lead on meetings, respond and address compliments/complaints, lead on Team Meetings, be confident with data analysis for performance board, support the s ervice in the absence of the service manager, to monitor, review and authorise assessments and be legal literate.

We are looking for a dedicated and resilient Team Manager, with experience of working with adults with a range of complex needs. A strong knowledge of Safeguarding and assessing risk is required.
