The role is office based in the South Devon & Torbay Mental Health Centre with clinical work occurring in Torbay Hospital.

We offer a relocation package of up to £8k.

Main duties of the job

Liaison Psychiatry accept referrals from Torbay hospital via the inpatient wards and emergency department. These include requests for specialist mental health assessment and interventions to people aged 18 to end of life. The mental health presentations of those accessing our services are varied and include self-harm as well as functional and organic mental illness.

We provide 7 day per week in-and-out-of-hours comprehensive service to patients, clinicians and carers.

We are seeking a visionary and motivated individual to join us at this exciting time, promoting dynamic and innovative ways of working. You need to be a Registered Professional with post reg experience, including experience in a Band 7 position. We will offer you development opportunities alongside the support of a well-established MDT.

You will need experience in clinical practice, supervision and operational line management, including HR processes. Working with other agencies, as part of the wider MDT is a vital aspect of this role. You will often work under pressure and without direct supervision, so we are looking for someone confident and capable who is able to prioritise tasks, manage your own workload, supporting colleagues as required.
