A leading healthcare provider in Scunthorpe is seeking an enthusiastic Older Adult Team Manager. You will manage day-to-day operations and ensure the delivery of high-quality mental health care in the community. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and inspirational Older Adult Team Manager to work within the North Lincolnshire Community Directorate.

The post holder will work with other Team Managers and Clinical Leads to ensure that the teams within their portfolio deliver high, quality, safe, effective care and provide the best possible outcomes for people using our services.

You will be a highly visible, compassionate leader with strong values that align with those of the organisation. You will lead by example, being a positive role model who inspires, motivates and empowers our clinicians in the safe effective delivery of care and treatment.

Main duties of the job

To be responsible for the day to day operational management of a portfolio of Services under the Community Directorate and the post holder will report to the Service Manager.

To ensure that patients, carers and other stakeholders can navigate through the care pathways with ease and their needs are met within recovery focused evidence-based provision.

To promote and deliver safe and effective standards of care

The post holder will line manage a portfolio of staff, offering regular management supervision. They will liaise directly with GPs and other services to ensure that the services respond effectively to clinical issues. The post holder will offer an expert opinion to staff on clinical matters such as risk, and appropriateness for treatment.

They will work with the Service Manager to ensure that the services meet their targets in line with the Service Specifications.

The post holder will liaise with acute directorate, community directorate and NHS Talking Therapies to ensure good working relations and a smooth pathway of care for patients.

The post holder will ensure team activity supports efficient use of resources in line with an allocated budget and will ensure team activity is in line with required performance parameters and quality standards.

Qualifications
  • Core Professional registration
  • Relevant health / social care degree or equivalent
  • Other mental health training
  • Leadership and/or managerial training
  • Evidenced continuing professional development within Health and Social Care Management
Experience
  • Experience of working with people with Severe and Enduring Mental Health problems.
  • Experience of working within a Community Mental Health setting
  • Delivering training to colleagues
  • Experience of auditing service effectiveness and producing high quality written reports for senior management.
  • Experience of effectively resolving difficulties with colleagues and other mental health professionals.
