An exciting opportunity for a Band 7 registered mental health practitioner to take on the role of Team Manager at HMP Stoke Heath Category C Young Offenders & adult male prison.
The successful candidate will work closely with the multi disciplinary team to provide leadership and operational management for the Secondary Mental Health & Clinical Substance Use Team
The day to day management of the offender secondary mental health and substance use team. This includes the management of resources, first line management of staff, caseload management and supervision and working in close collaboration with the Clinical Nurse Lead, NMPs and Senior Cluster Manager.
The post holder will oversee the team's delivery of evidence based therapeutic interventions for prisoners experiencing a range of mental health and substance use difficulties.
The role involves close working with a range of statutory and non-statutory agencies, locally, regionally and in some instances nationally.
Care will be delivered under the framework of The Care Programme Approach and Recovery Agenda and it will be the team manager's responsibility to manage the compliance of the team.
This role requires the demonstration of leadership skills to promote high quality evidence based, safe care to service users and to develop and maximise staff and service potential.
